When I first visited Mono Lake, it took my breath away. The stillness of the water and the delicate stacks of salt particles (which I later learned are called tufas), made me feel I had landed on a different planet.
I featured one of the photos on the cover of my piano books because I loved it so much. And I thought it matched the quiet undertones of the music perfectly.
