Artichoke I
San Jose, CA
I love making gardens and growing my own food. It’s a hobby I picked up during the pandemic, and now it’s something I enjoy doing wherever I go.
One season, I decided to grow artichokes. Their leaves grow wide and their stems shoot up tall, taking up a lot of space. So much that you can’t really grow anything else nearby.
When it came time to harvest them, I couldn’t bring myself to cut them down. Instead, I let them bloom and I’m glad I did, because the flowers were so beautiful. These are some of my favorites.
Sometimes you grow things just to admire their beauty, even if it’s only for a little while.

Size conversion from inches to centimeters
12x8 inches = 30x20 cm
24x16 inches = 60x40 cm
36x24 inches = 91x60 cm
60x40 inches = 152x101 cm
Please note: the size listed for each picture frame refers to the size of the glaze (glass) and does not include the width of the picture frame.
For example, 14x11 inch (35x28 cm) prints without a matte will fit a glaze exactly, but prints with a matte border will be smaller than 14x11 inches to fit the matte window opening.
Similarly, rolled prints will be the exact size as listed.
