Like many piano players, I fell in love with the piano from a young age, but I never learned through traditional methods.

Instead, I taught myself how to play based on feelings, patterns, and sounds. This is the way I teach to play as well. 

 

In 2020, during the lockdown, I sat down one night in my studio shed, surrounded by the most beautiful garden, to compose for the first time ever.

I intended to create a piano book for beginner students, but I soon found that I couldn't and didn't want to limit the inspiration that was coming through. So, I didn't.

The results became Roy's Piano Tunes. ​I hope you enjoy playing the series as much as I enjoyed bringing it to life.
