roy's piano tunes

What began as a simple idea, to compose a few basic pieces for my piano students, soon became something much deeper.

 

Before this project, I had never really composed. I never even considered myself a pianist. And yet, these tunes seemed to arrive from a place I can’t quite explain. On my previous albums, I was involved in every detail of the production. But with this one, it felt like the music was guiding me.

 

I recorded the album in my small, humble shed, a space I converted into a cozy home studio. It’s where I practiced, taught, composed, and reconnected with the reason I make music in the first place.

 

This collection of piano pieces holds all of that: the quiet discoveries, the joy of learning something new, and the feeling of being led by the music itself.
